Brain & Body Exercise Program is designed to empower those living with Parkinson's disease. A variety of exercise formats aim to improve physical function and help delay the progression of symptoms.

The purpose of the branch board is to conduct activities throughout the branch service area that are in harmony with and supportive of the mission and goals of the Association. Each Branch Board is charged to carry on its works in a manner consistent with the general purposes and objectives of the organization and the policies and operating procedures established by the Corpoare Board. This is merely an opportunity to explore your interest in a Branch Board member position within the YMCA of the Roses. The Christian Emphasis Committee shall advise the Corporate Board on policies regarding the development and enhancement of strategic plans related to putting Christian principles into practices through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

This internship supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The intern will gain hands-on experience in understanding communication and teamwork across various YMCA departments. By rotating through multiple departments, the intern will engage in daily operations, assist with projects, attend meetings, and reflect on these experiences to develop a comprehensive understanding of how different departments collaborate to achieve the YMCA’s mission.

The Finance Committee is commissioned by the Board of Directors to formulate and recommend policies and practices required to manage the association’s finances, evaluate financial reports, approve budget, review audit.

The Financial Development Committee shall advise the Corporate Board on all fundraising activities and policies. It shall assist with individual giving, government fudning, special event fundraising, grants, and planned giving for the annual and capital campaign.

The Human Resources Committee is commissioned by the Board of Directors to provide counsel in development of strategic human resources plans related to the Y mission and cause, recommend policies and practices, advise staff relative to talent management and review recommended policies related to total rewards including salary administration.

Creates positive, nurturing relationships with children, while building cooperative relationships with parents/caregivers. Promotes and supports the potential of all youth in programs and facilitates peer-to-peer connections as part of the overall program experience.

The YMCA New American Welcome Center is partnering with Bethany Christian Services to find volunteers interested in helping immigrants and refugees in the area by being New Neighbors. New Neighbors are a friendly and helping hand who can help people get to the grocery store, move in to a new home, pick up medications, help make phone calls or interpret English for non-English speakers, help people practice their English or study for citizenship exams, or even just being someone that an immigrant or refugee new to the area can talk to over a cup of tea or coffee.

The YMCA basketball program is a community-based initiative aimed at providing youth and adults with an opportunity to engage in the sport of basketball in a fun and supportive environment. Overall, the YMCA basketball program aims to provide a positive and enriching experience for participants, promoting physical activity, skill development, teamwork, and community engagement. It's not just about playing basketball; it's about fostering personal growth and building strong, supportive communities.

The Thanksgiving Day tradition continues! Join us for our 28th Annual Turkey Trot 5K and burn some calories before the feast! Please bring a non-perishable food donation or check donation to packet pick-up. The community based Food Pantry serves at least 750 families each month, providing food, infant and hygiene supplies to those in need. Although formed as a collaboration of the local Catholic Churches, the Food Pantry serves any individual or family in need, and not those only affiliated with the Catholic church. Your generous donation helps the Pantry reach more York community members. Checks payable to: The Catholic Harvest Food Pantry.
